'Seville' By Cole & Son

I was so excited to see a glimpse of the new 'Seville' collection by Cole & Son in a magazine that I thought I should share with you . Obviously as soon as the collection is officially launched I will share more detail with you all.

Cole & Son's design director Carly Bean who I have met previously at the Cole & Son studio in Chelsea Harbour is extremely talented recently visited Seville and was struck by the 'beauty and diversity' of the Andalusian capital. 'Visually and culturally, it has so much to offer' she told the magazine, 'with it's architecture, flora, fauna, culture and people. The colour and vibrancy of the city really reflects Cole & Son's brand values and I was confident we could do it justice and transform it into a beautiful wallpaper collection'.

The 'Seville' collection offers a range of 17 designs which reflects Seville's 2,200 year history of being multicultural, with Phoenician, Roman, Islamic, and Christian civilisation all leaving their mark. The collection offers myriad patterns and motifs that flaunt the city's rich melting pot of influences, whether you like geometrics, trompe l'oeil or florals, there's something for everyone. Even the ornate gardens of the Royal Alcazar of Seville, the capital's 13th-century palace, appear in sun-bleached shades ('Alcazar Garden', below)

According to reports, the vibrant collection is a celebration of multiculturalism that will transport you to a different time and place - and proof the the nation's desire for bold wallpaper (and escapism) shows no sign of waning.

Keep an eye out on my social media for when the collection is officially launched so you can see the collection in full.
